Freedom from Stress & Anxiety Individual Coaching Program

Meet with Mary Beth Leisen, PhD, for six live, 1:1 coaching sessions based on the latest neurobiology and psychology research on stress and anxiety. You’ll also get guided audios, handouts, and worksheets to help you get the most from the program. While I usually coach this program with high school and college students, adults could get huge benefit from this as well. The registration link takes you to a page where you can pay for the program and schedule your sessions. You can also opt to schedule a free, 20-minute consultation call with me to learn more about the Individual Coaching Program and whether we’re a good fit.

Individual Coaching

While I work with clients around a variety of goals and challenges, I mostly specialize in the following for coaching:

  • Managing Stress and Anxiety
  • Test Performance Training
  • Dealing with Inner Critics, Judges, Worriers and Other Mind Hijackers
  • Mindfulness for Well-Being
  • Self-Support / How to Powerfully Be on Your Own Side

Destress in Minutes Mini-Program for College Students

This short, self-paced program teaches you three powerful tools to help manage stress in the body and nervous system. It’s a quick introduction to this kind of work and is designed to help you get some relief, starting right away. It includes five very short video lessons, guided audio downloads, and downloadable written guide. Note: While this program is written for college students, the content is appropriate for high school students

Freedom from Stress & Anxiety for College Students

This self-paced program includes six lessons, each with 4-6 short videos and downloadable guided audios, handouts, and worksheets. This program is evidence-based, from the latest stress and anxiety research on the nervous system, brain, and thoughts. The first half of the program focuses on calming distress in the body and nervous system, and the second half teaches you how to work with difficult thoughts – fear, worry, criticism, judgment, etc. – that can hijack you and make life painful.

Classes, Workshops, Retreats, and Events

  • Managing Your Inner Critic
  • Dealing with Mind Hijackers: Your Inner Critic, Judge, Worrier, Blamer, and Other Characters that Live in Your Head
  • Calming Your Nervous System
  • Mindfulness as Your Superpower
  • Self-Compassion: The Surprising Power of Being on Your Own Side
  • The Power of Purpose: Living by Your Why

Graduation Rites of Passage Program

This program is for families with a high school or college graduate who want to do something meaningful to mark this very special life transition. I guide you through process that includes a life review of what made the graduate the person they are today, and we identify what no longer serves them that they want to let go. Next, we welcome adulthood by exploring the graduate’s and their parents’ wishes, intentions, concerns, and excitement about this next stage of life. Finally, I help you design a sharing ceremony to talk about these topics together and create ceremonial activities that symbolize this important life transition. Suitable for high school and college graduates and the most important adults in their lives.

Refill Your Joy Tank

This six-week program was created in the summer of 2021 – aka, during the pandemic – to help people actively cultivate more fun and joy in their lives. It’s based in sound neuroscience research – and the more that you train your brain to focus on what brings you relaxation, fun, happiness, connection, wonder, and joy, the more you train your brain that those things are important – and it helps you have more of them. The program includes six joy-themed sessions, with a 20-30-minute video with information and inspiration. Each week, you’ll also get a downloadable handout with many ways – small and quick to big and exciting – to play with that theme and create more joy. Suitable for all ages, from high school up (focus is on adults).
